Classical April Vase [Tsé & Tsé associées]
Classical April Vase [Tsé & Tsé associées]
[Selected BY SIMPLICITÉ]
Created in 1991 by Sigolène Prébois and Catherine Lévy, the Vase d'Avril is today considered a classic. Indeed, the Musée d'Art Moderne G.Pompidou considered it a marker of its time and included it in its permanent design collection in 1997.
Inspired by Japanese ikebana, this vase isolates each flower in a tube to show it off to best advantage. Articulated by metal rings, the April Vase has a variable geometry. It adapts to the flowers it shelters and the supports on which it stands. Thus, it gives everyone the great pleasure of composing a successful bouquet.
Made of glass tubes and metal parts that articulate, the April Vase can be dismantled. The Vases d'Avril are made in France. The "Classic" vase is composed of 21 tubes, including one with the Tsé & Tsé logo.

The zinc protecting the metallic pieces are already slightly oxidized and don't have perfectly smooth surfaces. The zinc becomes dull in contact with water and has a slight grey rust similar to frost.
Metal parts are not dishwasher- or paint remover-safe. On the other hand, Les Vases d'Avril appreciates a quick bath with dishwashing liquid.
The Classical April Vase has a spare tube and additional tubes are available separately.
